Top 3 Football Players And The Top 10 Purification Techniques

How popular are purification techniques let us first compare this with some famous football players which are in the list below;

Cristiano Ronaldo had 11 million pageviews
Lionel Messi had 8.5 million pageviews
Virgil van Dijk had 2.5 million pageviews

From that perspective the purification techniques are still a bit off, but would say not a bad result at all for science when we look to the purification techniques top 10.

There are multiple purification techniques that make our life better and our environment cleaner, this was also the case in 2019. We did chose 10 purification techniques and ranked them on the amount of pageviews.  

To determine our top 10 of the purification techniques we looked at a very big data source and that is Wikipedia. We used the amount of pageviews from the year 2019 (From January 1st until the 26th of December). The total amount of pageviews for all the techniques combined was an impressive 2,3 million.

We have made one graph based on the data and this graph ranks the 10 techniques. Here is our top 10 from 1 untill the number 10.

  2. Reversed osmosis
  3. Activated carbon
  4. Ion exchange
  5. Recrystallization
  6. Molecular sieve
  7. Oxidation
  8. Sand filter
  9. Aeration
  10. UV disinfection

The winner in term of Wikipedia pageviews is coagulation followed by reversed osmosis and activated carbon.
